I cannot express how much fun I had with this photo shoot! The March theme for the Photography Association of Wenatchee is "Decay"
. My mud covered, leaf wearing model Fawn was awesome! Let me tell you, I never thought rolling on the concrete floor in a bed of wet leaves covered in oil and mud could look so good! Thank you Ashley for hair and makeup and for hand-picking those glorious leaves!
Off to clean up the pile of leaves!

Dharma's Photo shoot
I had such a great time photographing this little lady! Dharma was so creative and energetic, by the end of the photo shoot she was setting up the set and taking my photo! Dharma is so versatile, she rocked out to Miley in fairy wings and a black tutu then changed into destructed jeans, a beanie, and bare feet.

I had so much fun finding materials to use as backdrops, I found a gold damask duvet cover, cheetah print shower curtain, and some sheer curtains.
I ended the shoot with over 400 photos, it is going to be tough picking my favorite, there are so many great photos!

Me!
That's me! My husband is very creative with light. This was shot in my studio, aka my unfinished concrete basement
. I must admit its industrial look and warm lighting casts a nice ambiance. We used 3 100 watt halogens, a 60" round diffuser and a silver reflector for fill light. I added a touch of "catch light" to my eyes. The "in" thing is to use ring lights around your lens, it gives that "deer in the headlights" effect. Being the model is tough work, all that gazing and posing....whew

Fawn's Photo shoot
I had an amazing time photographing Fawn! So full of creativity and spunk! Her images are mysterious and soulful. I love how edgy and industrial the background is, totally Fawn's style. I'm excited to experiment with other colors and textures for upcoming photo shoots. I'm thinking baroque wallpaper on muslin, so rich!
